A Note from Pastor Jim Bradford

UPDATE: Pastor Jim has been discharged and is now home.

October 17, 2023

Good Tuesday morning, Central Family!

I wanted to take a moment to let you know about something that occurred yesterday. After one of my normal morning exercises, I noticed that I wasn’t feeling as well as usual. Sandi suggested that I should be cautious and seek medical attention, and I’m thankful for that wisdom. Much to my surprise, I found out that I was experiencing a heart attack. I received prompt and excellent care in the ER and cath lab where doctors were able to promptly place a stent. I had one additional stent placed today and will remain in the ICU out of an abundance of caution.

Otherwise, at this point doctors expect a rapid recovery and suggested I could be back at work at the end of the week. However, I instead plan to rest through at least this weekend. I appreciate your prayers and support as a church family—in this experience and in so many other ways—and I look forward to being back in the office and the pulpit soon.

Sincerely,

Jim Bradford
