Annual Business Meeting

Central Assembly’s Annual Business Meeting will happen on Sunday, March 8th at 4:00pm. If you are a member of the church, you can participate in the review of financial and ministry reports, and elect new members to our Board of Deacons.

If you are not a member, you’re still invited to come see how Central handles the business of the church, although you will not be able to participate from the floor through questions, comments, or voting.

Nominees for Central’s Board of Deacons and their respective bios are listed alphabetically below:


Bob Burbee

Bob has been a member at Central Assembly for 26 years. He is a self-employed Licensed Psychologist and previously served with Focus on the Family for 10 years. At Central he co-led the Engaged/Young Married class for 17 years. Currently he volunteers in the Central Kids pre-school mini service once a month as ‘Pappy Bob.’ Occasionally he also serves on the worship team. Bob and his wife Mary Jo have 4 married children and 6 grandsons.



Craig McHaffie

Craig has been a member at Central Assembly for 29 years. He retired from the pharmaceutical industry after 30 years of service. At Central he previously served with the nursery, as an usher, with boys ministries, oil change, and Bible Quiz. For 9 years, Craig has been a member of the Safety Team and has served the Family Ties Sunday group as an officer for 20 years. He also volunteers with Little Bit, Ozarks Food Harvest, and the Ronald McDonald House. Craig and his wife, Karla, have a married son and a grandson.


Jeremy Melton

Jeremy has been a member at Central Assembly for 18 years. He works as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. He also serves as president of his home owners association. In the past at Central, he co-taught the Engaged/Young Married class, was a member of the debt reduction team, and served as a board member for two 3-year terms. Currently Jeremy is a member of the Thinking Christianly Sunday morning group. Jeremy and his wife, Meggin, have one daughter in college.


Bekah Menditto

Bekah grew up at Central Assembly, a member for 26 years. Formerly she was employed as a math teacher at Willard High School and taught math at Ozarks Technical Community College. At Central, Bekah has been a nursery and preschool volunteer, part of the Central choir, on the last pastoral search committee, and served on the board for two 3-year terms. She is a stay at home mom, works their family business and is involved in anything her kids are doing. Bekah and her husband, Dave, have three young children.


Melissa Pulis (Incumbent)

Melissa has been a member at Central Assembly for over 30 years. She is the assessment and accreditation specialist for the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. At Central, Melissa serves as the board secretary and co-leads the Altar Prayer Team. In the past, she volunteered with kids and youth from nursery to college and served on the board for three 3-year terms. Melissa also volunteers with Convoy of Hope and is a mentor in the lives of young leaders. Melissa and her husband, Steve, have two grown sons.


David Snodderly

David has been a member at Central Assembly for 3 years. He is a financial advisor for Edward Jones. Previously he served in the U.S. Army and worked in the insurance field. At Central, he has volunteered with various outreaches, including the Thanksgiving event. Currently he is a member of the greeter team and Thinking Christianly Sunday morning group. He and his family host the college/young adult bonfire each fall. He is a member of the Sertoma Club, Rotary, Red Cross (Board member), and VFW. David and his wife, Julie, have two grown daughters.
