Gifts for Kids is our annual opportunity to bless the children of Boyd and Weaver Elementary Schools and the students of Pipkin Middle School. This Sunday morning, November 23, Gifts for Kids tags will be available for distribution. You simply choose a tag, purchase a gift for that child, and bring it to church on Sunday, November 30. The gift provided by Central Assembly may be the only gift some kids receive this Christmas. So grab a tag, or a few, and go shopping! Here are some shopping reminders. For grades K through 5, purchase a gift valued between $10 and $15. Check the toy packaging for the suggested age range. For grades 6 through 8, purchase a $10 gift card. Gift ideas are available here. Please do not wrap the gifts! Simply attach the tag to the gift and bring it to church on Sunday, November 30. If you would like to be baptized in water, please plan to attend the required water baptism class on Sunday evening, November 30. Adults will meet at 5:00. Kids will meet at 5:30. To sign up, please e-mail us.

Once again this year, we hosted Crosslines and worked together to provide Thanksgiving baskets to families in need. We extend a huge “thank you” to all who gave financially or volunteered to help with our Neighbors Thanksgiving. Many families were blessed.

The annual Legacy Christmas Dinner will be Friday, December 12 at 6:30pm in the Multipurpose Hall. The theme this year is “White Christmas.” The evening will feature a delicious meal and a beautiful Christmas program. For the meal you may choose between Prime Rib of Beef, Baked Holiday Ham, or Chicken Diane. Tickets are $18 per person through Sunday, December 7; $20 after. Seating will begin at 6:10pm. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm. The evening will conclude with the Christmas program. The attire should be festive business casual. Our next Food Pantry and Oil Change Ministry will be Saturday, December 13. At this time of year, many of our regular volunteers are unavailable due to other commitments, so we need extra volunteers during the holidays. It’s almost time for our annual Christmas Festival! This festive event has become a tradition for many families and friends in our community. The evening will feature Central Assembly’s Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, along with the JuBELLant Ringers, as they present a variety of contemporary and traditional favorites, culminating in a beautiful candle lighting ceremony. Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ birth, God’s greatest gift to us. This event is a gift to our community. Invite your friends and neighbors!
There is no better way to spend Christmas Eve than in worship and reflection. Join us as we gather to celebrate the wonderful gift of Jesus’ birth. The service begins at 5:00pm in the sanctuary. This service has become a Christmas Eve tradition for many families. It’s also a great opportunity to invite your friends and family!
