He is the Director of Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture in Seattle, WA, and the author of New York Times bestseller Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosive Origin of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design. Dr. Powell (Ph.D., Harvard University) will speak in our Sunday evening service in the main sanctuary. She is an ordained Assemblies of God minister and the author of Questioning Your Doubts: A Harvard PhD Explores Challenges to Faith. Invite a friend to join you for this special day at Central!

This 9-week study will help us learn how to overcome or prevent life’s setbacks and struggles that can erect walls between us and spiritual growth and may even control our lives. A life-controlling problem is anything that masters your life. Stop by our table in the foyer, to sign up and purchase a companion book.
On Sunday, September 25, the Women Only Class will begin a study of Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely by Lysa TerKeurst. For more information about this class, contact us.

Have you joined us for Thursday morning prayer yet? We meet for prayer in the chapel from 6:30-7:30a. When you come, use the Boonville side entrance to the chapel. We’re praying for our nation, upcoming elections, our church, families—whatever the need may be. We believe God is doing great things!
Senior adults, join us for our October Legacy breakfast on Thursday, September 29. Tickets are on sale at the Legacy Counter for $6 per person. If you celebrate a birthday in October, your breakfast is free.
Chili Chefs! The 4th Annual Chili Bowl is coming up Wednesday night, October 26. The night will be full of fun competition, prizes, music, and best of all, your chance to add your name to the Chili Bowl Trophy. If you think your chili can handle the heat of friendly competition, sign up on the bulletin or e-mail us. Also, we need a couple of more things to make the night a success: Volunteers to man the kids’ carnival games and lots of bags of individually-wrapped candy to give away to the kids. No peanuts, please. Bags may be dropped in the designated baskets at each end of the foyer. To volunteer, sign up on the bulletin or contact us here.
