We look forward to seeing your smiling faces at Sunday morning worship! Pastor Jeff will continue his new Places series with “Upper Rooms.” At 6:00p come back for Sunday night prayer and Bible study. Pastor Mike will continue our series on the Beatitudes, God’s Prescription for Spiritual Health, with “Meek.” There’s no better place to be on Sundays than the Lord’s house!

October Is Pastor Appreciation Month!

During this special month of appreciation, we’d like to honor our pastors with personalized notes and cards of appreciation and encouragement. For your convenience, throughout the month of October a box will be located at the Connect Counter where you may drop your gift of encouraging words.

International Ministries | Upcoming events

Sunday, October 23, our young adults will have a picnic lunch after the second morning service at Nathaniel Greene Park. If you need at ride, meet us in front of Room 123. Also, our ESL Class and international prayer meeting will attend the Chili Bowl on Wednesday, October 26. If you have questions about our ministry, please contact us.

Chili Bowl | October 26 | 6:30p | MPH

Our 4th Annual Chili Bowl is coming up Wednesday night, October 26. The night will be full of fun competition, prizes, carnival games for the kids, bluegrass music, a silent auction, and one of our Chili Chefs will get their name added to the Chili Bowl Trophy. This is an all-church family event, so childcare will not be available.

Also, we need a couple of more things to make the night a success: Volunteers to man the kids’ carnival games and lots of bags of individually-wrapped candy to give away to the kids. No peanuts, please. Bags may be dropped in the designated baskets at each end of the foyer. To volunteer, sign up on the bulletin or contact us here.

Thursday AM Prayer | October 27 | 6:30a | Chapel

Have you joined us for Thursday morning prayer? We meet for prayer in the chapel from 6:30-7:30a. When you come, use the Boonville side entrance to the chapel. We’re praying for our nation, upcoming elections, our church, families—whatever the need may be. We believe God is doing great things!

Young Adult Service | October 27 | 7:00p | Fusion Center

All college and young adults are invited to join us for a night of worship, prayer, teaching, and fellowship. Enjoy free coffee and snacks, meet other young adults, and hear Pastor Christian teach on living authentic lives.

Prayer Ministry Gathering | October 30 | 5:00p | Prayer Room

All of Central Assembly’s altar workers and prayer group leaders are invited to join us for a time of fellowship and sharing about our prayer ministries. Light refreshments will be provided.

Legacy Breakfast | November 3 | 8:30a | MPH

Our next Legacy breakfast will be Thursday, November 3. Tickets are on sale at the Legacy counter. If you celebrate a birthday in November, your breakfast is free. Our After Breakfast Linger Longer will be an inspiring hymn sing. Plan to linger and sing along!

Women’s Holiday Dinner | November 4 | 4:00-9:00p | MPH

Grab your ticket this Sunday for Embrace Your Story: Holiday Dinner & Expo! Doors will open and vendor shopping will begin at 4:00. Workshops will be at 4:45 and 5:30, and dinner and the program with our guest speaker, Rhonda McGinnis, will begin at 6:30. Invite your friends to join us for this exciting event!

SOMO Youth Convention | November 18-19 | James River South

Greeter Ministry | Sunday & Wednesday Nights

We’re looking for a few friendly faces! If you’re interested in connecting with people and welcoming them to our church, please consider becoming a greeter. We need help on Sunday nights and Wednesday nights. A volunteer service packet, available at the Connect Counter, must be completed and turned in. Sign up on the Sunday bulletin if you would like to join this ministry.
