This Sunday morning Pastor Jeff will continue his Keep Calm & … series from Philippians. Remember that Sunday evening services will not meet during the month of August. This is to give our faithful volunteers, especially those in our kids ministries, a nice break before the busy fall season.
We want to welcome new 6th graders to Fusion on Sunday, August 7, at 9:00a. Students and their parents are invited to join us for breakfast and an informational meeting all about Fusion. We look forward to seeing you there!
A new Bible quiz season is coming up. The JBQ (3rd-5th grades) parent information meeting will be Sunday, August 7 at 9:15a in Room 305. The PeeWee (K-2nd grades) meeting will be Sunday, August 14 at 9:14a in Room 305. Bible Quiz is a fun, exciting way to learn God’s Word!
Moms, if you have babies or teenagers or any age in between, we have a moms group for you, even if you don’t attend Central. A table will be set up in the foyer on August 7 with registration and group information. You may drop registrations in the offering bag or in the blue mailbox next to the kids’ registration counter. All meetings will start in September.
We appreciate all our host families past and present. If you are interested in being a host family this coming academic year, please e-mail us. During August we will continue to join the main sanctuary service on Sunday mornings. Our international prayer service will resume Wednesday, August 10. Our free ESL class will resume Wednesday, August 24.
Join us this Wednesday night as we continue our new series on the Holy Land called Windows Into the Bible. Come and see how the land, languages, and culture of the Holy Land can help us better understand the Bible. Come early for fellowship with friends over a cup of coffee.
If you think you may have lost or misplaced an item at church, such a Bible, book, clothing, umbrella, etc., check with lost and found at the Connect Counter. Any items not claimed by Wednesday, August 10, will be donated to charity.
On Thursday, August 4, we starting meeting for prayer in the chapel from 6:30-7:30a. If interested, you’re welcome to join us anytime. We’ll be praying for our nation, upcoming elections, our church, families—whatever the need may be. We believe God is going to do great things!
One of our projects for United Way’s Day of Caring is to bless University Child Care Center with school supplies. See your Sunday bulletin for a shopping list!
