This Sunday morning Pastor Jeff will conclude his Keep Calm series from Philippians. Remember that Sunday evening services will not meet during the month of August. This is to give our faithful volunteers, especially those in our kids ministries, a nice break before the busy fall season.
One of our projects for United Way’s Day of Caring is to bless University Child Care Center with school supplies. We are collecting black sharpies, dry erase markers, washable markers, Crayola crayons, assorted stickers, 8 1/2 x 11 construction paper, 3-oz Dixie cups, children’s toothpaste, scotch tape, zip lock bags in quarter and gallon sizes, glue bottles, and glue sticks. All supplies should be delivered to the Connect Counter by Sunday morning, August 14.
A new Bible quiz season is coming up. If you have a kindergartner through 2nd grader and are interested, the PeeWee meeting will be Sunday, August 14 at 9:15a in Room 305. Bible Quiz is a fun, exciting way to learn God’s Word!
Moms, if you have babies or teenagers or any age in between, we have a moms group for you, even if you don’t attend Central. A table will be set up in the foyer this Sunday with registration and group information. If you have young children, you must register by August 31 to secure a spot for childcare. You may drop registrations in the offering bag or in the blue mailbox next to the kids’ registration counter. All meetings will start in September.
Join us this Wednesday night as Dr. Marc Turnage continues our series on the Holy Land called Windows Into the Bible. Come and see how the land, languages, and culture of the Holy Land can help us better understand the Bible. Come early for fellowship with friends over a cup of coffee.
Open enrollment for the Sanctuary Choir will begin Wednesday, August 17. If you enjoy singing, please join us. We rehearse on Wednesday nights and minister on Sunday mornings. If you have questions, please contact Pastor Chad.
