It’s almost time to hop on over for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. The big event, open to our community, will be next Saturday, March 28 from 10am to 12pm at the Fusion Center. Bring your kids, your friends, and your neighbors. Come ready for a fun time filled with games, snacks, crafts, face-painting, inflatables, and egg hunting, of course! This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection with our kids and community. We need lots of volunteers for a variety of activities. Run a carnival game, assist with a cute kids’ craft, make that perfect snow cone—there’s a place for you! If you’re interested, please contact us.
We also need LOTS of individually-wrapped candy to fill eggs. Baskets for donations are located at each end of the foyer. Without your help with candy and activities, this event would not be possible. Thank you!
Our annual business meeting will be tomorrow night at 6:00. Pastor Jeff shared, “If you are a member of Central, please make the meeting a priority. We have much to celebrate from 2014. I look forward to sharing a few things from my heart as the meeting begins.” We will have the opportunity to review God’s faithfulness in 2014, elect two deacons, and look ahead to another great year of continued ministry in 2015. It’s exciting to see what God is doing and anticipate what He is going to do!
We’re excited to host beloved Christian speaker, author, and ministry leader Joni Eareckson Tada! This special weekend includes An Evening with Joni & Friends on Friday, March 27. Then on Sunday, March 29, we’ll welcome Joni to share her heart during our morning worship service. At 6:00p, join us for Songs of Hope, an evening of worship through music. This Palm Sunday concert will feature our Sanctuary Choir & Orchestra, along with Joni. Admission is free. For complete details on all these events, please visit here.
Wednesday Night Bible Study will begin a new series on April 8. The purpose of this series of studies is to respond to current events, especially those surrounding ISIS, Boko Haram, etc., and the impact all of this has on many people relative to Islam. Extremism seems to rule the airwaves on the part of all sides, factions, and points of view. We are looking for a biblical approach and a practical understanding of both Islam and current issues which will help us arrive at a good worldview about it all.
Moms of Fusion students, join us this Wednesday for a time of prayer and connecting with one another. We pray for our teens, pray for their pastors and leaders, and enjoy fellowship with each other. If you have questions, please contact Kristy.
The 2015 Springfield North Light for the Lost Banquet is coming up Thursday, March 26. The speaker will be James McHaffie. Pastors and spouses will receive complimentary steak dinners. Others may purchase dinner tickets for $7 each at the Connect Counter. Light for the Lost raises funds to buy literature for missions. Join us for this night of food and fellowship!
Students, join us as we tackle the goal of hearing God by first asking ourselves, “Are you listening?” Registration, medical release, and scholarship forms may be picked up at the Connect Counter, Fusion office, or Fusion Information booth before or after Wednesday service. Keep in mind that medical release forms must be notarized. Registration is due ASAP! We hope you all join us!
The Weekend To Remember marriage conference is coming to Branson. You may register through our group—marriagecentral—by April 17 and receive our group discount. You must make your own hotel reservations by calling 888.333.5253. The discounted rate is $109 a night. If interested, please contact Pastor Mike.
