Spring Missions Celebration | April 17-24 | Central Assembly
We’re excited to celebrate Missions Week at Central! Special speakers are lined up for Sunday morning and evening. Faith Promise cards will be available, and we’ll have the opportunity to renew or make a new faith promise. Please pray about what you can give to missions. We’ll have an incredible night of missions and prayer on Wednesday, then we’ll launch our Summer Missions Project on Sunday, April 24. We’d love to see you for every service during this spring missions emphasis!
This Sunday is Host Family Worship Sunday. Our guest speaker will be Andrew Austin, a missionary to Bosnians in the St. Louis area. All host families and students are invited to join us. A potluck lunch will follow the service. If you would like to learn more about our international ministries, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Convoy of Hope will host a community event for Springfield on Saturday, May 7. Doors will open at 10:00am. At the event Convoy will serve thousands by providing free groceries, health and dental screenings, haircuts, family portraits, meals, and much more. Lots of volunteers are needed, and we’d like to have as many from Central Assembly as possible. If you would like to be a part of this amazing day, please register at convoyofhope.org/springfield.
Women’s Ministries and Girls’ Ministries will present Embrace Your Calling: Girls’ Night Out on Friday, May 13, from 6:00-9:00pm. This will be a casual come-and-go evening with dinner and activities, such as a finger food dinner, make your own salt scrub, games for the kids, and more. The program begins at a 6:45. All generations of women will gather for a time of fellowship, inspiration, and sharing the vision of what we, as women of God, can do. Tickets are on sale in the foyer for $7. When you come to our foyer table, check out the Embrace t-shirts!
We’re looking for friendly faces for our greeter ministry. We need help on Sunday evenings and especially Wednesday nights. If you’d like to volunteer and haven’t already filled out a volunteer service application, please stop by the Connect Counter and grab one. If you are interested in connecting with people and welcoming them to our church, let us know!
Kids Are Central needs help in the preschool area (ages 2-5). We also need help in the nursery. Whether you can volunteer once a month or every week, we need you! If you love kids and have a heart to serve, please contact us.
