Our 3rd Annual Chili Bowl is coming up this Wednesday night at 6:30 in the Multipurpose Hall. The highlight of the evening will be watching our chili cook-off competitors do their best to earn top honors and the prized Chili Bowl Trophy. As you sample their secret recipes, the chefs will do their best to claim your vote. What else will be happening? There’ll be carnival games for the kids, fantastic door prizes, and good wholesome fun and fellowship for all. The event is absolutely free. Bring your family, bring a friends. Everyone is welcome. Since this is a church-wide family event, childcare will not be available.
A night of family fun is coming up this Wednesday, October 28. We plan carnival games for the kids, and we need lots of candy. Bags of individually-wrapped candy many be dropped in the baskets located at each end of the foyer before or after service times. Thanks!
Pastor Daisuke will speak from 1 Thessalonians 5:14-28 on “What God Expects of You.” We will have a leaders’ meeting after the service in the Fusion Cafe. Ladies choir practice will be Sunday, November 1, during the international service. We will be singing at the Women@Central Holiday Lunch & Expo!
During this special month of appreciation, many of us have honored our pastors with personalized cards and notes of encouragement. This is the last Sunday a box will be located at the Connect Counter where you may drop your gift of encouraging words.
Our free ESL Conversational English Classes meet Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00p. This is a place for English language learners to come and practice their English speaking skills and make friends with native speakers. No registration is needed.

Neighbors Day is the second Saturday morning of each month. The next day we will serve our community through our Oil Change Ministry and Food Pantry is Saturday, November 14. We need at least 50 individuals to help deliver Thanksgiving meals to senior adults. This will be a great opportunity for families to share in doing an act of kindness for someone in need. Volunteers should meet at the Fusion Center on Saturday, November 21, at 9:30a at the Fusion Center. You may sign up at the Connect Counter or call the church office at 417-866-5013.
