Sunday morning, Pastor Jeff’s message will be based on our 2015 daily Bible reading and a call to grace from the Apostle Paul. In Pastor’s words, “Grace is a wonderful thing. Without it we are lost, and the Church has no purpose. With it we are empowered to change our world.” Join us for morning worship, then come back at 6:00 as Pastor Mike begins a new Sunday night series, How God Guides Us.
Pastor Yoriko will speak about “Living in God’s Grace,” from Ephesians 2:8 and Proverbs 4:23. On Sunday, October 4, we will have separate services for men and women. The men will study how to be more like Jesus. The women’s group will begin choir practice after the service. We will sing at the Women@Central Annual Holiday Lunch & Expo on November 7. All international ladies are invited to join us!
We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for all of mankind. What is the best way to study the Bible? Why should we study God’s Word? Which is the best version? How do I apply the Bible to everyday life? This Wednesday night Dr. Don Johns will continue our new series, People of the Book, with “Thinking Contextually.” The series will run through November 18 and will cover the following topics:
Introduction: Why Study the Bible?
Interpreting the Bible
Inductive Bible Study Method
All Those Different Versions!
Study Bibles, Commentaries & Other Study Aids
Bible Study & the Ancient Context
Applying the Word
Speakers throughout the series will be Pastor Jeff Peterson, Dr. Don Johns, Dr. Vince Medina, and Dr. Fred Haltom. Let’s join together in studying the best-selling Book of all time!
