Sunday morning Pastor Jeff will speak from Psalm 57. This psalm speaks to moments we all have at one season or another in life. May the message resonate in your hearts as you join us for morning worship! Then come back at 6:00p for An Evening with the Rachels. Ray and Judy Rachels have been in ministry together for 45 years. Judy is the national chair of the Assemblies of God Network for Women in Ministry. T. Ray Rachels is an AG executive presbyter and former superintendent of the Southern California District Council. Men will meet in the chapel with Ray, and women will meet in the Multipurpose Hall with Judy. Be sure and join us for this wonderful evening of worship and ministry!
Pastor Yoriko will speak about “Transformation” from Second Corinthians 3:16-18. A leaders’ meeting will be in the Fusion Cafe following the service. There are still international students on the waiting list for host families. Two more families are needed to host 2-3 students once a month for one semester. Contact us if you can help.
Churches from across Springfield will gather together for worship and payer at the downtown square on Tuesday, September 22, from 7:00-8:30pm. We encourage the Central family to join with other believers to glorify God and pray for our city.
We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for all of mankind. What is the best way to study the Bible? Why should we study God’s Word? Which is the best version? How do I apply the Bible to everyday life? This Wednesday night Dr. Don Johns will continue our new series, People of the Book, with “Interpreting the Bible.” The series will run through November 18 and will cover the following topics:
Introduction: Why Study the Bible?
Interpreting the Bible
Inductive Bible Study Method
All Those Different Versions!
Study Bibles, Commentaries & Other Study Aids
Bible Study & the Ancient Context
Applying the Word
Speakers throughout the series will be Pastor Jeff Peterson, Dr. Don Johns, Dr. Vince Medina, and Dr. Fred Haltom. Let’s join together in studying the best-selling Book of all time!
