Here’s a little preview of three exciting Bible studies coming up next month: Conqueror Series: The Battle Plan for Purity. This cinematic 5-week study for men by Dr. Ted Roberts, a former Marine fighter pilot, will begin Wednesday, September 9, at 6:30pm in the chapel and Sunday, September 13, at 6:00pm in Room 223. The discipleship curriculum provides insights from top Christian leaders who lay out biblical strategies and scientific facts to teach men how to use God’s weapons to become conquerors. A companion workbook is $10. Hosea: Unfailing Love Changes Everything. This 7-week study for women by Jennifer Rothschild will begin Tuesday, September 15, at 6:45pm in Room 222. The Book of Hosea is a love story. It’s the story of Hosea’s love for his wayward wife Gomer. It’s the story of God’s love for His wayward Israel. Most of all, it’s the story of God’s unfailing love for you and me. Even when we wander, God goes to extraordinary lengths to bring us back to Him. A companion workbook is $13. Free To Grow: Overcoming Setbacks & Disappointments. This 12-week journey by Dr. Jimmy Ray Lee will begin Sunday, September 13, in Room 122. Leaving hindrances and rejection behind, we can discover complete freedom to grow in Christ and become the people who God designed us to be. A companion workbook is $11. Mark your calendars; signup information for each of these studies will be available soon!
Fusion Students, get ready for the “Acts Experience!” This season as you study the Book of Acts, you’ll learn more about the Holy Spirit and how the Early Church was radically changed. We’ll have an information meeting during Fusion Life on Sunday, August 9, at 9:15am. Join us and hide God’s Word away in your hearts! If you have questions about any Bible Quiz level, please contact Marci.
Mark Erickson will speak on “God’s Plan To Bless the Nations.” Join us at 10:30 for coffee, tea, and fellowship before the service begins at 11:00. Also, join us for international prayer meeting Wednesdays at 6:30pm in Room 125. Everyone is welcome!
We will not have Sunday evening services or activities during the month of August. This is to give the faithful volunteers in our various church ministries a time of rest before the busy fall season is upon us. Also, we will not have evening services or activities on Sunday, September 6, in observance of Labor Day.
Area schools are beginning a new school year. The Victory Mission Back-to-School event took place in our building on August 4. This is a good reminder to pray for our students, teachers, administrators, and school staff. May godly values prevail!
This week David Nelson will continue our Holy Spirit series with “The Fruit of the Spirit: Goodness.” Throughout this series we are learning about different facets of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. Join us every Wednesday for fellowship, Bible teaching, and discussion.
Everyone is invited to join us for the Legacy Crafts & Collections Expo, scheduled for Saturday, August 15 from 8:30am to 12:30pm in the Multipurpose Hall. Come and take a stroll through the exhibits, and benefit from the advice and wisdom that comes with years of experience along the way.
This group of men meets the third Saturday of each month at Perkins Family Restaurant for breakfast, encouragement, and prayer. All men are welcome! If you have questions, please contact Vic.
Open enrollment for Sanctuary Choir will begin Wednesday, August 19. If you enjoy singing, please join us! We rehearse on Wednesday evenings and minister on Sunday mornings. If you have questions, please contact Elizabeth.
We are looking for host families for the new semester. A host family spends time with two to three international students at least once a month to share American culture and God’s love. Stop by our table in the foyer to sign up or get more information if you are interested in this ministry to students far from home. Or you may e-mail us.
Royal Rangers currently has openings for individuals to help mentor future men in our Wednesday night K-5th grade groups. If you are interested in this ministry to boys, please contact the Kids Are Central office at 417-866-5013.
Kids Are Central is looking for excited teachers who want to help and teach preschoolers ages 2-5. We ask for at least one Sunday service per month commitment. This is a great way to get involved in Central’s ministry to our little ones! Contact us if you can help!
