Neighbors Day Yard Sale | August 8 | 9:00a | Central Assembly

Every second Saturday morning of the month is Neighbors Day. On August 8, we will serve our neighborhood through our Food Pantry and Oil Change Ministry. Oil Change begins at 9:00; Food Pantry begins at 9:30. In addition, Fusion Student Ministries will partner with Neighbors Ministries and host a yard sale. We welcome your donations! Items may be dropped at the Fusion Center during any service time. Proceeds will go to Convoy of Hope, Myanmar, and winter survival kits for the homeless.

 

No Sunday PM Services/Activities Through September 6

We will not have Sunday evening services or activities during the month of August. This is to give the faithful volunteers in our various church ministries a time of rest before the busy fall season is upon us. Also, we will not have evening services or activities on Sunday, September 6, in observance of Labor Day.

 

International Service | August 2 | 10:30a | Fusion Center

International service resumes August 2. Max Rivera will speak on “Who Is Jesus?” Join us at 10:30 for coffee, tea, and fellowship before the service begins at 11:00. Also, international prayer meeting will resume Wednesday, August 5, at 6:30pm in Room 125. Everyone is welcome!

 

Bible Quiz Information Meetings

Bible Quiz for all age levels will soon start an exciting new season. Peewee Bible Quiz and Junior Bible Quiz (K-6th grades) are fun, exciting ways to learn God’s Word. Learn more at our information meeting on Sunday, August 2, at 9am in Room 305.  

Fusion Students, get ready for the “Acts Experience!” This season as you study the Book of Acts, you’ll learn more about the Holy Spirit and how the Early Church was radically changed. We’ll have an information meeting during Fusion Life on Sunday, August 9, at 9:15am. Join us and hide God’s Word away in your hearts! Central Military Outreach | August 2 | 4:30p | Room 122

This group meets the first Sunday of each month and offers support to military personnel, as well as to their families who are holding down the home front. For more information, contact Sheila.

 

GriefShare | Begins August 5 | 6:30p | Room 204

GriefShare is a friendly, caring support group that will walk beside you through some of life’s most difficult experiences. If you’ve lost a child, spouse, family member, or friend, you may feel overwhelmed with grief. Maybe you’ve lost a job, good health, financial stability, or safety after a trauma. You may be experiencing grief as well. GriefShare can help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

The 12-week GriefShare program will begin Wednesday, August 5, at 6:30pm in Room 204 and will meet each Wednesday night through November 4. Each session will include a video featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects followed by a time of prayer and sharing. A companion workbook is $15. Wednesday Night Bible Study | August 5 | 6:30p | MPH

This week Jim Wilkins will continue our Holy Spirit series with “The Fruit of the Spirit: Kindness.” Throughout this series we are learning about different facets of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. Join us every Wednesday for fellowship, Bible teaching, and discussion. 

 

Legacy Breakfast | August 6 | 8:30a | MPH

After the July break for Camp Meeting, join us for our regularly scheduled  breakfast on Thursday, August 6, at 8:30 a.m. We will celebrate both July and August birthdays. Purchase your tickets Sunday at the Legacy Counter for $6. If you have never attended, you will love the delicious food (prepared in-house) and the fellowship! 

 

Host Families Needed | Fall 2015 Semester

We are looking for host families for the new semester. A host family spends time with two to three international students at least once a month to share American culture and God’s love. Stop by our table in the foyer to sign up or get more information if you are interested in this ministry to students far from home. Or you may e-mail us

 

Royal Ranger Mentors | Wednesdays | 6:30p | K-5th grades

Royal Rangers currently has openings for individuals to help mentor future men in our Wednesday night K-5th grade groups. If you are interested in this ministry to boys, please contact the Kids Are Central office at 417-866-5013.

 

Preschool Volunteers Needed | Central Assembly

Kids Are Central is looking for excited teachers who want to help and teach preschoolers ages 2-5. We ask for at least one Sunday service per month commitment. This is a great way to get involved in Central’s ministry to our little ones!  Contact us if you can help!

Get busy crafting and dust off those collectibles! Our Legacy Crafts & Collections Fair is coming up Saturday, August 15, with setup on Friday, August 14. Share your hobbies, skills, experiences, collections, and passions. Some ideas:

  • Seamstry/Needlework
  • Carpentry
  • Baseball cards
  • Photography
