On June 28 we will have one combined 10am service. This outstanding patriotic service will feature heart-soaring music from our Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, special recognition of veterans, and a message from Brian McCroskey, former Army Ranger and our guest speaker.
The successful movie “Black Hawk Down” is based on an Army Ranger Company’s mission to recover fallen comrades in Mogadishu, Somalia. Brian was part of a small group of Rangers that fought at the crash site of the first Black Hawk helicopter that was shot down. He was shot in the arm. In the midst of enemy fire, God was there. Soul restored, Brian dedicated his life to the Lord while in Somalia. In 2012 he and his family moved to the Himalayas of North Africa. Brian uses his training to carry the gospel message to remote places.
We encourage all veterans to wear their uniforms and service commendations. Come and Celebrate America with us and hear more of Brian’s incredible story as we give thanks for the many freedoms we enjoy.
Happy Father’s Day! Evangelist Billy Graham said, “A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.” We agree!
