Our annual pinewood classic was postponed in February, but it’s back on and just around the corner! Our 2015 Dine & Derby is an evening of all-you-can-eat steak and sides, pinewood racing, and to top it all off, a perfect opportunity to invite friends to share a delicious meal and an evening of fun and friendship with the church family. Tickets are just $5. If you purchased tickets in February, you’re all set! A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $7. If you want to get a car in the race, you have a few options. You can build ($5 kit), buy ($8, ready to decorate), or rent ($10, ready to race) a car. Anyone, any age, can join the racing fun. Stop by the Dine & Derby table in the foyer this Sunday to buy tickets, purchase a car kit or pre-built car, or get more information. Remember to invite a friend!
Wednesday Night Bible Study began a new series on April 8. The purpose of this series of studies is to respond to current events, especially those surrounding ISIS, Boko Haram, etc., and the impact all of this has on many people relative to Islam. Extremism seems to rule the airwaves on the part of all sides, factions, and points of view. We are looking for a biblical approach and a practical understanding of both Islam and current issues which will help us arrive at a good worldview about it all. Join us Wednesday, April 22 as Tommy Hodum and Paul Parks speak on, “Faces to Your Prayers.”
Tomorrow morning the international service will welcome David & Kelly Godzwa, missionaries to Yucatan, Mexico, as guest speakers. The message will be, ” How’s Your Vision?” We’ll enjoy a potluck lunch after the service.
