What a wonderful weekend we’re having with beloved Christian speaker, author, and ministry leader Joni Eareckson Tada! This special weekend featured An Evening with Joni & Friends on Friday, March 27, as well as Lunch with Joni, a special event for the disabled community, on Saturday, March 28. Coming up this Sunday, March 29, we’ll welcome Joni to share her story of how God turned her tragedy into great triumph during our combined 10:00a worship service. At 6:00p, join us for Songs of Hope, an evening of worship through music. This Palm Sunday concert will feature our Sanctuary Choir & Orchestra, along with Joni. Admission is free. For complete details on all these events, please visit here.
Join us on Good Friday for this reflective service. The purpose of the Service of Shadows is to recreate the betrayal, abandonment, and agony of the events leading up to and including Jesus’ death on the cross. It creates opportunity to reflect on the passion, suffering, and death of Jesus. As candles are extinguished throughout the service, the growing darkness symbolizes the heartache of Holy Week.
Please join us on Easter Sunday morning as we celebrate our risen Savior! Pastor Jeff will share a message, and the sanctuary choir and orchestra will minister in music. Evening services and activities will not meet.
Wednesday Night Bible Study will begin a new series on April 8. The purpose of this series of studies is to respond to current events, especially those surrounding ISIS, Boko Haram, etc., and the impact all of this has on many people relative to Islam. Extremism seems to rule the airwaves on the part of all sides, factions, and points of view. We are looking for a biblical approach and a practical understanding of both Islam and current issues which will help us arrive at a good worldview about it all.
