A diving accident left Joni a quadriplegic at 17. That moment changed her life forever. Joni’s story of how God turned her tragedy into great triumph is amazing. It sets the stage for the two themes for the evening.
First, it will be a strong wrap-up of Joni’s message of hope. The songs will bring encouragement that hope overcomes suffering. Second, we will be reminded of the characteristics of Christ as we move toward Passion Week.
Some of the songs to be performed by the sanctuary choir and orchestra include “Let There Be Joy,” “For Every Mountain,” “You Deserve the Glory,” “He’s Always Been Faithful,” “Alone Yet Not Alone,” “The Majesty and Glory of Your Name,” “Give Me Jesus,” “I Am Not Ashamed,” and “Precious Lord.” Interspersed among the songs will be a worship time, Psalm reading, testimony, and word from Joni.
The event is free, a gift to the community.
