National Sanctity of Human Life Day is celebrated annually, this year on January 17, 2016. President Ronald Reagan designated January 22, 1984 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. The date was chosen to coincide with the 11th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case that first recognized the constitutionally-protected status of abortion in the United States.
The Pregnancy Care Center, founded by Evangel University graduate Cindi Boston, has helped over 12,000 women in the Springfield area since it was launched in 2000.
PCC offers free pregnancy tests, limited ultrasound, community referrals, and information on pregnancy options. We are pleased to have Cindi, the current director of PCC, as our guest speaker in both services on Sunday morning, January 17—Sanctity of Human Life Day.
